Each performance is unique. Scripted for and shaped by a specific audience with specific goals. The script is read in a manner similar to spoken word poetry. The music is performed live. The audience participates by contributing their writing.
And at the end of two hours—at the end of the story—virtually everyone finds themselves inspired. Maybe even transported.
And certainly, curious to know more.
BEHIND THE SCENES
The layers of storytelling—reading, writing, poetry, history, music and imagery—that make up the Clark Street Bridge experience, thrive on giving everyone involved in the production a voice. A philosophy that harkens back to the sessions John and Jeff had at Muscle Shoals Sound Studio in Alabama, where they worked in a laid back, but highly collaborative, atmosphere with some of the most talented artists of our generation.
